Gods and Goddesses: Pantheons

by Tabitha Kosicki October 09, 2025 1 min read

     What is a Pantheon?

Historically speaking, the original Roman Pantheon was dedicated to their twelve gods and goddesses—as well as the people—and was built from 27 BC to 14 AD. Later rebuilt in the 600s, it became one of Italy’s most famous and influential rotundas, standing as a breathtaking testament to divine artistry and human devotion. Even now, it continues to draw a timeless, never-waning crowd of admirers who walk beneath its vast oculus in awe.

In modern times, the term pantheon also refers to a collective of deities within a particular religion or belief system. Throughout history, countless pantheons have risen, evolved, and faded—each carrying the stories, values, and mysteries of the cultures that revered them. Here, we begin our journey through those sacred lineages, introducing you to each realm and its divine inhabitants, organized by culture and concept.

This is the heart of our Education Station—a growing sanctuary of knowledge where you can explore the many pantheons of the world and discover the spiritual traditions they embody. Pages will be updated as our website grows. We’re a small but spirited team, stitching these pages together one legend at a time—so if there’s a tale you’re eager to uncover, leave us a note and we just might spin that thread next.
