Tabitha

Tabitha was born in Wilmington and raised in the mountains outside of Boone, before eventually finding their way back to the Carolina coast. A third-generation witch and bone thrower, Tabby honors ancestral traditions while continuing to develop a practice that reflects their own perspective and experiences. With a background in psychology and a recently earned IT degree, they bring both intuition and practical insight to their readings at Madame Meerkats.

Hand-crafting and spiritualism are central to Tabitha’s work. They hand-make the bone-throwing kits available in the shop and have a special connection to vessels and dolls as spirit guides—objects they see as carrying stories, meaning, and presences. Their connection to the natural world has remained a constant throughout life: from rockhounding in the mountains to fossil hunting along the Carolina coast, with some of those found pieces even making their way into the bone kits they create! 

Recently gifted the ringtail cat as a spirit guide, Tabby approaches their work with curiosity, attentiveness, and quiet strength, always interested in the connections between the seen and unseen.
