Geological Properties:
  • Composition: Zinc silicate with the formula Zn4Si2O7(OH)2·H2O.

  • Crystal Structure: Orthorhombic, meaning it has a characteristic blunt end and sharp end. 
  • Hardness: Grades 4.5 to 5 on the Mohs scale.
  • Fluorescence: May occasionally fluoresce blue under ultraviolet light.
  • Location: Found in various countries, including Mexico, Belgium, Poland, the USA, and others.
