Large Rough Orange Selenite Specimen
Selenite went and got itself a tan. This big, rough chunk of Orange Selenite comes from Morocco and has all the classic selenite charm, just warmer, glowier, and frankly a little more fun at parties. That sunset color comes from hematite inclusions that slipped in while the crystal was forming, so this one gets a bit of grounding energy along with its usual purifying properties.
Selenite is known as a cleansing, protective stone. It’s said to dispel negative energy and shield you from outside influences, and to bring peace and calm to the space around it. Its orange cousin is also linked to creativity and vitality. So set it where the vibes tend to get weird: your entryway, your altar, or that one corner of the living room where everyone ends up arguing.
It also makes a great charging station. Selenite is considered self-cleansing, so it doesn’t need much upkeep, and many people set other crystals on or beside it to refresh them. If you’d like to give it a spa night anyway, leave it out under the moonlight. Keep it far away from water, though, because selenite will erode and dissolve if it gets soaked. Think of it as the Wicked Witch of the crystal world.
This piece is just as lovely as a decor piece, centerpiece, or shelf conversation-starter. It’s raw, natural stone and very soft (you can scratch it with a fingernail), so expect some minor imperfections and flaking. That’s not damage, it’s personality.
