Labradorite Mala

The Northern Lights, strung on a cord and draped around your neck. Not bad for a Tuesday.

This mala is made of 108 faceted 8mm labradorite beads, and every single one flashes. The faceting catches the light from every angle and sends shimmers of blue, green, and gold dancing across each bead as you move. It's perfect for meditation, mantra practice, yoga, or just being the most mesmerizing person in the room.

About Labradorite:
Labradorite takes its name from Labrador, Canada, where it was discovered. According to Inuit legend, a warrior once found the Northern Lights trapped inside the rocks along the coast. He struck the stone with his spear and freed most of them, but some light stayed behind to shimmer in labradorite forever. That magical flash even has its own name, labradorescence. It's caused by light bouncing between the stone's internal layers.

Metaphysically, labradorite is known as a guardian of the aura that shields you from negative influences (and negative people). It's a stone of transformation, inner wisdom, and self-worth, ideal for anyone in their "becoming" era. It's associated with the throat chakra and is believed to support clear, honest communication.

Why 108?
The number 108 is sacred in Hindu tradition. Some explain it as the 12 zodiac signs multiplied by the 9 planets, others as the 27 lunar mansions multiplied by their 4 quarters. One full trip around the mala is one complete round of mantra practice.

Use it for:
-Japa (mantra) meditation: Move one bead per repetition until you've completed all 108.
-Protection: Wear it as an energetic shield on days you'll be around draining people.
-Transformation work: It's a great companion for new chapters, big changes, and shadow work.
-Breathwork: One bead, one breath. Watch the flash, find your calm.
